Property Value
A Very Big Problem
The law now requires property owners to disclose any faulty conditions to Real Estate Agents and potential Buyers. Failure to disclose a leaking basement or crawlspace would be grounds for costly litigation.

A leaking basement or crawlspace would more than likely end any chance for a full value sale. At best the current owner would be required to repair the problem and in the meantime the sale price is driven down.

Today Mortgage lenders are hesitant to lend money on a leaking home, Realtors have a difficult time selling these homes, and Insurance companies will not insure them or pay for repairs caused by foundation leaks. Please read your own homeowner's policy to verify.

Look at the photographs on this page and ask yourself, Would I purchase another Home with a leaking basement or crawlspace?
